HBNSC No Drop Policy (NDP) "We leave together, ride together, and return together." When organizing and participating in a Heartland Club biking event, the ride host or the group itself can declare that the ride will conform to the Club's "No Drop Policy" (NDP). If the host or group does not explicitly declare at the start of a ride that the NDP is in effect, riders should assume the policy is not in effect and the main group may ride off and "drop" individual riders off the back to ride solo or to form up with other, slower riders if they choose. If a rider is uncertain about whether or not the NDP is in effect, s/he should ask at the beginning of the ride. No Drop Policy All members of the main ride group will stay together and not leave behind individual rider(s). However, the main ride group may break up into smaller ride groups, but then each small group is responsible for staying together and not leaving behind individual riders. Rendezvous point(s) will be establish- ed at the beginning of the ride in case the main group splits or individual riders have trouble keeping up.
