Similar to the Neighborhood Watch Program, this special group is made up of individual Heartland members who, during the course of their normal bike riding, make special efforts to watch for changes in road conditions. Road Watch Group members are not expected to "patrol" an area, but rather are diligent and active on their normal bike rides in watching and reporting road construction and road surface repairs (chip sealing) in Portage County that could be dangerous for road cyclists.
