Hey, what were you doing Sunday afternoon, November 12th, 2006? Well, Jack Friess (Heartland member) was riding his bike ride past the 10,000-mile mark in one year. On that wintry afternoon, Jack and 5 other brave road bicyclists went on a short (12-mile) loop on Old Wausau Road and N. Second Street north of Stevens Point and celebrated the "turning of the odometer" to 10,000 miles. Jack kept a log of all those miles, and also wrote about his experiences in a blog during the last month leading up to "The 10 Grand Ride". So, you can read and see more about this probably once-in-a-lifetime experience at these links:
Congratulations, Jack!! |
