NEW EVENT!
Fighting Lymphoma Ride

Sunday, August 17th
2:00 p.m.

Adventure 212
Portage County Business Park

Time: Let's gather at 1:45 pm, so we can leave promptly at 2:00 pm.

The Event: Co-sponsored by Adventure 212 and Proactive Wellness & Chiropractic, this event combines the fun of a group bike ride with the seriousness of a fund raiser. Before and after the ride, completely voluntary donations will be accepted with all proceeds going to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. After the ride, stick around Adventure 212 for a free chair massage, or to enjoy snacks and beverages along with great socializing with other riders.

The Ride: We'll have 15-, 25- and 40-mile route options. We'll ride out to the east of Stevens Point on the great rural roads of eastern Portage County. Maps will be provided prior to the beginning of the rides.

Food and Drink: Please stay after the ride for post-ride food and beverages provided by Adventure 212 and Dr. Wally Schmitt.

Directions: The ride will start at Adventure 212, 3217 John Joanis Drive, Portage County Business Park, Stevens Point, Wisconsin. PC Business Park is located adjacent to the intersection of I39 and Co Hwy HH, in Whiting (Stevens Point).

Things to Remember:
  • The course will not be marked on the road.
  • You will be responsible for getting yourselves back to the start point. You will need to rely on the map if you fall back from, or get out in front of your group.
  • Even though we will be riding on country roads, remaining single file or at most two abreast and on the right side of the road shows respect for motorists, represents our club well and is highly recommended.
  • Avoid Riding Alone: Everyone can help to make all Club rides more enjoyable by finding other Club riders of about the same speed to ride with. Get to know these riders and call them well in advance to make sure you have someone to enjoy the ride with.
  • And as always, certified helmets are required to be worn when riding at all Heartland sponsored events.
