| Hidden Studios Tour Ride Saturday, October 4th (Rain Date: Next Day, Sunday, October 5th) 10:00 a.m. *** Join the Hidden Studios Tour! *** Amherst Cafe & Travel (Centre Village, Amherst) The Event: Fall colors will accompany us on our route to four of the 10 art studios on this year’s Hidden Studios: Art Along The Ice Age Trail event. We’ll leave from the Amherst Cafe & Travel shop at 10:00 am and follow (roughly) the Midwest Recumbent Rally’s medium and long routes to Iola and back to Amherst, stopping at the art studios along the way. In its fifth year, the Hidden Studios Tour highlights art studios in Central Wisconsin, with the “home” artist usually also inviting guests artists to exhibit in his or her studio. Artwork is for sale during (or after) the tour. (NOTE: the tour runs Oct. 3-5, so you could also check out the other studios in the area on another day, hopefully on your bike!) Here are the four studios we’ll be visiting:
The Ride: There will be a (roughly) 32-mile loop from Amherst to Iola and back, with stops at the four studios. There is also a longer (approx. 50 mile) option available for those interested. Breakfast option: The Amherst Cafe & Travel shop opens at 8:00 a.m. and has a breakfast menu available, as well as coffee and cappuccino. Please arrive well before our 10:00 a.m. departure time if you plan on having breakfast, as we'll be leaving promptly at 10:00 a.m. NOTE: Breakfast is on you.
