Iola Pie Ride

The Ride: Everyone is welcome to Iola's Ingval-Olson Park on Highway J for this year's version of the HBNSC Iola Pie Ride. We're hoping our 15th year is as tasty and as challenging as previous years. This year the course is outstanding, the coffee will be hot, the pie will be incredible, and the company will be above average for sure. There will be 3 distances to choose from and all 3 groups will ride the first 9 miles of their respective routes together.

Meet: Gather at 8:45 a.m. We would like to be rolling at 9:15 a.m. sharp, so the pre-ride map overview and course discussion will start at 9:00 a.m.

The Eats: The pies for this years ride will once again be provided by award winning baker Rita Lepak and promise to impress. There will be coffee and juice, music and conversation, shade and bathrooms. Bring a frisbee or a football, if you wish, but whatever you do, don't forget your lust for the open road and your appetite.

• The course will not be marked on the road.
• You will be responsible for getting yourselves back to the start point. You will need to rely on the map if you fall back from, or get out in front of your group.
• Even though we will be riding on country roads, remaining single file or at most two abreast and on the right side of the road shows respect for motorists, represents our club well and is highly recommended.
• And as always, you will receive disparaging looks if you choose to ride without a helmet.
