Emma J's Parking Lot, Stevens Point
Route: The routes for the ESPN ride starts at Emma J's Parking Lot in beautiful downtown Stevens Point, near the Greyhound Bus Station. Maps for the 12 mile, 25-30 mile, and 40+ mile tours will be available before the ride.
Where to Meet For Ride Start: From Hwy 39, go west on Hwy 10 past the Center Point Mall to the stoplight after the Hwy turns south and just b4 the Clark Street bridge. When you see the JC Penny on your left, find the Greyhound Bus Station parking lot on your right.
Time: Arrive at 8:45 a.m. - rides begin at 9:00!
After the Ride: We’ll have some goodies for a post-ride snack - Don’t forget that EmmaJ's, Wooden Chair and Temptations of the Hearth are just a block or two away for more after ride renewal food.
Things to Remember:
- The course will not be marked on the road.
- You will be responsible for getting yourselves back to the start point. You will need to rely on the map if you fall back from, or get out in front of your group.
- Even though we will be riding on country roads, remaining single file or at most two abreast and on the right side of the road shows respect for motorists, represents our club well and is highly recommended.
- And as always, you will receive disparaging looks if you choose to ride without a helmet.
