Old Highway 18 RR Crossing A particularly scenic bike route near Stevens Point is Old Highway 18, heading due east from town all the way, in parts now, to Lake Emily Park in eastern Portage County. This former state highway and now-popular route to the "hill country" near Amherst and Iola, crosses the Wisconsin Central Ltd. RR approximately 3 miles east of Stevens Point at Burbank Road.
